Hopewell- Reckless Driving and No Driver’s License- Reduced

On April 7, 2011, Miller-Cerasuolo represented a client in the Hopewell General District Court in Hopewell, VA. The client, a North Carolina resident, was driving down I-95 in Hopewell County when he was pulled over for traveling over 81 mph in a 70 mph zone. The client was charged with Reckless Driving -Speeding- In Excess of 80 mph, Virginia Code Section: A.46.2-862 – a Class 1 Misdemeanor AND No Driver’s License, Virginia Code Section: 46.2-300 – a Class 2 Misdemeanor. The client retained our services after a no-obligation phone consultation and did not have to attend Court, as our Attorney was able to appear on his behalf. In Court, our Attorney negotiated a plea bargain with the Judge avoiding license suspension, jail time and high fines. The Attorney got the Reckless Driving charge reduced to a non-moving violation, which carries no demerit points. The Attorney also got the No Driver’s License charge reduced to a lesser charge of No License in Possession.
